UK music tech trade association brings investors, founders, policymakers and international delegations to Shoreditch for flagship MTUK+SXSW London June events
London, 9 April – Music Technology UK (MTUK), the UK’s trade association for the music technology sector, today announces its events at SXSW London 2026.
MTUK+SXSW London will serve as the official hub for music tech activity during SXSW London, combining the launch of MTUK’s flagship Sound Investments report with a two-day programme of events at the House of Music and Entertainment (H.O.M.E), Shoreditch.
The events are expected to draw together music tech founders, investors, policymakers, and international industry leaders.
Sound Investments launch – Monday 1st June
MTUK will launch Sound Investments on Monday 1 June, 12:15-12:55 BST, at Protein Studios, Shoreditch. The report, now in its second year, will provide the investment thesis and evidence base for funds and companies wanting to raise capital and support policy makers to act.
This will be followed by a two day activation taking place on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd June at H.O.M.E. This will combine high-profile panels with networking, pitching, and international dialogue. Each day will feature a networking breakfast and lunch.
Investment and Innovation – Tuesday 2nd June
Day 1 is focused on investment and innovation, featuring a panel discussion on the findings of MTUK’s Sound Investments 2026 report and a Dragon’s Den-style pitch competition, with investors and startups in attendance. The day will close with a welcome reception.
Global Perspectives – Wednesday 3rd June
The second day, co-hosted with Music Tech Europe, is dedicated to international collaboration and cross-border opportunity. A Global Startup Showcase will feature ten-minute demo sessions from music tech companies around the world. A Global Music Tech Summit will bring together representatives from international music tech networks.
