Music Technology UK partners with Australian innovation hub CAST to create global opportunities for music tech startups
Music Technology UK (MTUK) is proud to announce a new partnership with CAST – the Centre for Arts, Sports and Technology, based in Australia. This collaboration will connect UK music tech innovators with a vibrant entertainment ecosystem and open doors to international growth.
As MTUK’s first partnership of its kind, joining CAST gives our 130+ Full Members access to a network designed to bridge the gap between early-stage companies and major industry buyers. CAST is building a central hub for discovering technology across music and the wider entertainment sector, and MTUK will play a key role in shaping that vision.
Matt Cartmell, Chief Executive, Music Technology UK, said:
“Australia represents a significant opportunity for UK startups, with a hugely vibrant music culture and appetite for innovation. That’s why we’re very pleased to partner with CAST to create connections between the UK and Australia, helping those companies that are ready to expand internationally.”
Gav Parry, General Manager of CAST, added:
“What we’ve found in MTUK, Matt and the broader music tech ecosystem is a genuine desire to make the industry better. The piece we know is missing (and we are working on) is the connection between large organisations and those startups building the future. The relationship with MTUK is the perfect example of how we work with member organisations. MTUK bridges the gap between specialist music industry knowledge and the support needed for early-stage companies. Our role is to get those startups in front of buyers.”
This partnership is just the beginning. Together, MTUK and CAST will amplify the voices of music tech startups and showcase their impact on the global entertainment industry. We look forward to sharing more in 2026.
